It's the 1970's, and seventeen-year-old Nick is having a difficult senior year. After his best friend moves away, and his friends desert him, the man he put in prison with his eyewitness testimony is released and bullies him into running drugs. Luckily, a beautiful young woman named Dawn walks into the convenience store where he works. The characters are well-developed, and readers will be speeding to the end to discover what happens to the heroic Nick and his mysterious love interest, Dawn.
