Pride

Zuri Benitez loves her hood. She enjoys sitting out on the stoop, hanging out with her four sisters, and taking in the many sounds of her Brooklyn neighborhood, but things are changing. Developers are slowly taking over her neighborhood and she doesn't like it one bit. When Darius and Ainsley, two wealthy African-American boys move into the newly remodeled home across the street with their parents, Zuri and her older sister, Janae, can't help but notice how handsome they are, but Zuri thinks Darius is stuck up, and Darius thinks Zuri is judgmental. Of course, they are extremely attracted to each other. Fans of Pride and Prejudice or urban romance are sure to enjoy Ibi Zoboi's modern remix of Jane Austen's classic work Pride and Prejudice.
