Five students are serving detention when one of them, Simon, suddenly dies from anaphylactic shock and dies. It seems someone laced his cup with peanut oil, knowing he was allergic. The four remaining students: Bronwyn (the brain), Addy (the beautiful), Nate (the criminal), and Cooper (the athlete) are suspects. Rather than merely respond to questions from investigators and hide from reporters, they join forces to determine who murdered Simon and tried to frame them.
