Paris Secord aka DJ ParSec is "on the come up". All of her fans in the ParSec Nation can't wait until she drops her next beat, and there are some popular local artists lining up to work with her. Just as she's about to break out, her former best friend Kya and new best friend Fuse find her dead, lying across her turntables. Because they were at the scene of the crime but are cleared of all wrongdoing by the police, DJ ParSec's more rabid fans, angry masked figures known as Dark Nation tell them they must find out who committed the crime or face their wrath. The only problem is that Kya and Fuse can't stand each other. Will they use their talents and overcome their differences to find out who murdered their friend?
