They Both Die at the End

In the not-too-distant future, people receive a phone call from Death-Cast to let them know that it is their last day on Earth. No one knows how Death-Cast has discovered this information though rumors abound. It doesn't matter if the person dies of natural causes or from an accident, it's the last day, and there's no way to avoid it. Fortunately, there's an app called Last Friend where you can make a new friend and avoid feeling alone. This is how Rufus and Mateo meet. They're both teens leading very different lives (Mateo is quiet and reserved while Rufus is fun-loving and running from the cops). Now they're spending their last day together trying to live life to the fullest while they still have time. This is a beautiful, heart-wrenching story and a must read for fans of realistic fiction with a touch of the supernatural!
