The Way You Make Me Feel

Clara Shin loves a good joke, but her and her friends' prank at the prom, an homage to Stephen King's novel Carrie, causes a fire, and she gets into a fight with Rose Carver, the straight-laced head of the prom committee. Clara's father decides that a fitting punishment for the two would be working on his food truck that summer to earn money to pay the school for repairs, and the principal agrees. This means that Clara won't be able to visit her mother in Mexico much to her shock and disappointment. Working on the truck means literally bumping elbows with her arch nemesis, Rose, but at least she meets sweet, straight A, and extremely cute Hamlet. (Yes, that's really his name.) Will Clara and Rose be able to work together all summer without killing each other? Will Rose win over the boy of her dreams even though she makes a joke out of everything?
