When Kiri Dunsmore emerges from the desert wearing her boyfriend's sweatshirt covered in blood, she's the main suspect in his disappearance, but there's no body to be found. Under a cloud of suspicion, she retreats to her wealthy parents' home. Her boyfriend wasn't just any boy, though. He was Callum Massey, a famous survivalist influencer, so there are plenty of rumors and accusations spreading online. Kiri's former classmate Sam, a true-crime fan, decides to investigate and re-ignites their friendship when she places herself outside Kiri's house at an opportune time, and it doesn't take long for Kiri to start opening up. However, Sam can tell that Kiri is reluctant to share everything which leaves her wondering at Kiri's innocence.
