You think you have problems? Think again! When John O'Leary was nine-years-old, he blew up his parents' garage and burned 100 percent of his body while playing with gasoline. He was in the hospital for five months and suffered a tremendous amount of pain, both physical and emotional. In his book On Fire: The Seven Choices to Ignite a Radically Inspired Life, O'Leary describes the horrific details of what he and his family experienced that fateful day and in the months and years to follow. He intersperses his narrative with important lessons he learned from others along the way from the custodian who cleaned his hospital room each day to people such as legendary baseball announcer Jack Buck who constantly visited with and mentored him. On Fire is a book that perfectly demonstrates that, as John O'Leary points out, "We might not be able to choose the path we walk in life, but we can always choose the manner in which we walk it".

Although this book was written for an adult audience, teens are sure to find John O'Leary's story inspiring as well!
