If you're a fan of mythology or of Neil Gaiman, author of Coraline and The Graveyard Book, you should definitely consider reading his book of Norse mythology. Readers of this bestselling collection of stories will be entertained by the stories of Odin, the most clever of the Norse gods; Thor, his brother who loves adventure; and Loki, who is always stirring up mischief. Most of the stories focus on these three gods but typically involve mythological creatures such as giants and dwarves. Written for young adults, this anthology of stories is both entertaining and accessible as well as rather humorous. I mean, who wouldn't find humor in a story about Thor dressing up as a bride to retrieve his stolen hammer? Read it all at once or read a story now and then as the mood strikes; that's the beauty of an anthology. Neil Gaiman has done an excellent job in presenting this collection of treasured myths.
