Elatsoe

When Elatsoe's cousin appears to her in order to reveal that he was murdered and not actually killed in a car accident, Elatsoe is determined to gather evidence and bring the killer to justice. She and some of her family journey to Texas, where they discover the murderer her cousin named is wealthy and well-connected. She also finds that things are quite odd in the town, including the fact that there are rare mushrooms growing in what should be an arid climate, there are supernatural creatures in the area, and people around the town are watching her and another cousin rather closely as they investigate and try to gather evidence. Bringing the murderer to justice will mean harnessing her power to bring the spirits of dead animals to life, and will put her and her family in danger, leading to a suspenseful action-filled climax to this fantastical novel!
