In 1946 Germany, Eva has just discovered a startling secret about her father, a Nazi working on a top secret project. She is tasked with going to America to try to find her father in the U.S. and obtain the information he has, but now that she knows his secret, she's determined that no one should have it, but this will mean locating him and making sure no one else can ever have any contact with him again. Told by alternating between her time in Germany and her time in the U.S., Sharon Cameron does an outstanding job of bringing to light a secret program that most people perhaps do not know about which she details in the author's note at the end of the novel. Readers will also learn more about German propaganda and a WWII refugee program for supporting young people in the U.S. If you're a fan of historical fiction or history in general, be sure to check out Bluebird!
